"We all learn by experience but some of us have to go to summer school." — Peter De Vries
Here's a little photographic synopsis of my last few days:
Ben turned 21!
And the last few (fun) days of cat sitting.
Today is the first day of classes for spring quarter. (and hopefully I don't jinx it but... It's looking awful spring-like outside!)
I'm up earlier than I need to be, can't decide if I want to go for a walk or go back to bed!!
Wish my luck for my first day!
LAST DAY IN ISOLATION!
:) I can't believe break is almost over already!
Ben comes back tomorrow, hopefully with some time to celebrate his 21st! (can you believe it!)
Good thing all my friends don't like going to bars too often cause I'd never get to see them!! (since I'm the baby)
Yesterday I treated myself to an extra special gift:
NEW SHOES!!!!
I haven't done anything frivolous like this in forever. It felt great (especially since it was gift money!)
the glorious work of my dear friend Steve Madden <3 Gotta love DSW, my friends.
In other news Clyde has discovered his cat bed (that I've had since I got him)
Buuuuut better late then never, right?
And here's the cook whose visiting!
Look at those eyes!

Day 4
Short post today.
Errands, Movie/Chinese Food/Hang out with Joi :D
MOLLY CALLED ME! YAYYY
but my big news for the day:
This little beast pooped on my floor.
RIGHT in the middle of my bedroom.
Right in front of me.
=/

Day 3:
So I basically did nothing today. It was sunny out and I would have killed to go hiking, but there was no one around to go with.
So I worked out staring longingly out my window instead. The cats are interacting more, but not friendly yet.
I woke up with a rotating cast of cats next to me, it was sort of funny. I'd wake up with one cat next to me, and then fall asleep again. Then I'd wake up again a bit later with the other cat laying next to me in the same spot. :) haha
I looked at a few houses. I'm REALLY stressed about housing for next year now. And this summer. UGGGGGH.
I've been watching SO MANY movies. That's sorta a plus at least. Sorta.
Just sorta a lonely day... lusting to get out of town.
Hopefully tomorrow proves to be better.

Day 2
Cat Friends.
So, a fellow photo student brought over her kitty, Catarina, today so I could take care of her while she went home. Catarina was completely relaxed about the ordeal.
Clyde however...
I've been wanting to capture the craziness of Clyde's 'ohmygod i'm so freaked out' tail for a while. As you can see why... he basically turns into a raccoon.
I also made the mistake of picking up a tense cat and the wrong moment and got a nice little reminder not to do that again.
Here they are staring at each other from opposite ends of the stairs...
Clyde walked around me/my bed SOOOO slowly and cautiously to get to his favorite spot without disturbing Catarina. It was hilarious.
Annnnnd then in a fit of drowsiness:
Clyde touched Catarina.
A good oman for tomorrow?
It was a long day, full of cat herding. They're both passed out on my bed. I'm not sure where I'm gonna find room to sleep tonight!
